San Sebastian -a beautiful town on Bahia de la Concha with mountains on either side...Mt. Igueldo on one side of the bay and Mt. Urgul on the other. The waves coming across the bay create great surfing waves!  The Miramar Palace, on the beach, was where Queen Maria held court in the early 1900s.

St. Jean de Luz - a French Basque city boasting wonderful markets, pastries, and the church that King Louis XIV got married to Marie Terese of Spain because it was half way between Madrid and Paris.  

Bayonne, France - a quintessential   Basque town with the impressive Cathedrale Ste. Marie, a lovely riverfront and a fascinating Basque Museum.

Pamplona, Spain - the Navarro Region - that  Ernest Hemingway made famous, in his book The Sun Also Rises, and hosts the Running of the Bulls in June and is on the path for hikers and pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.
